I've just found out the right words to say it.
A good teacher is not someone who is (always) better than you in every single area.
A good teacher is someone who can drive you to be better in your areas and may be more areas you've been bad at or haven't known before.
This is a mostly forgotten truth, especially by my beloved creative talents and colleagues.
If you're looking for an idol, then it's a different story.
Can a teacher be an idol at the same time? Sure can.
But back to you, are you really looking for a teacher or anything else?
